Weekly Class Pack

Thank you for booking our weekly classes, developed to combine a mixture of acting and stagecraft in a regular setting to fire up creativity.

We are really excited to get creating with everyone! We want all children to feel welcome and relaxed, whether they are a beginner or a budding entertainer.

What to bring?

We ask that the children bring the following items in a named bag or container:

  • A refillable drinks bottle.

  • Comfortable and suitable shoes.

  • Appropriate clothing for movement and arts & crafts (workshops may include paint and glue).

Sharing of these items is not permitted.

  • Where possible registration will take place at the 'white door' to Door 84 Comunity Centre in building shown below.

Weekly Classes T's & C's

  1. These terms and conditions apply to Creative Coliseum weekly classes, applied for and consented to by the parent/guardian/child (referred to hereinafter as "participant"). Changes to these terms and conditions require the written consent of Creative Coliseum.

  2. Written confirmation from Creative Coliseum confirming that a participant has been allocated a place establishes a contract and acceptance of that place, on the understanding that the parent/guardian/participant agrees to these terms and conditions.
    Methods of Payment:
    Direct Transfer to Creative Coliseum bank account
    *Cash is not accepted for security reasons.

  3. Class times, fees and methods of payment will be provided via e-mail prior to commencement of attendance.

  4. Prompt payments are essential to the effective running of our classes.  Payment for termly fees to completed within 7 days on receipt of invoice. 

  5. Failure to pay by the due date may mean the place will automatically be offered to a participant on the waiting list.

  6. Creative Coliseum reserves the right to pause classes until term fee is received and brought up to date. 

  7. No refund will be possible for classes missed. 

  8. If an account falls into significant arrears on more than two occasions during any one calendar year, Creative Coliseum reserves the right to terminate membership with immediate effect.

  9. Cancellations and refunds are at the discretion of Creative Coliseum and will be on a case by case basis. If a refund is processed a 10% administration fee will apply.

  10. Classes take place once a week during term time and participants are expected to be present each week unless they have an acceptable reason for being absent. Any absence is required to be notified prior to the participant being absent from the class. The term dates for the following term will be available on the Creative Coliseum website by the end of the previous term at the latest.

  11. Notice period - termination must be received with half a term’s notice (usually 6 term weeks).  This should be provided in writing via email and not verbally during class. 

  12. When a performance is planned, participants are expected to attend technical and dress rehearsals in order to appropriately prepare for performance.  Dates of these rehearsals are provided in good time prior to the event and failure to attend could result in a participant being unable to be part of the performance. 

  13. Performance charge
    Main Show in Theatre - an additional charge, per child, to cover hire costs is made prior to each main production.  No sibling discount is available for this charge. Charges will be based on numbers in the class. Payment should be made on receipt of invoice.  Students will be unable to perform in production if charge is not paid by the due date.

  14. Trial/Taster Sessions:  Any trial/taster session is subject to availability and must be arranged in advance.  Attendance does not guarantee a place.

  15. If a participant signs up for a taster session/s, all terms and conditions, as stated in this document, still apply to the parent/guardian and participant involved. 

  16. Once attendance has been made to a taster session, to continue with classes the payment terms must be met by the agreed date on the invoice. 

  17. Those participating in Creative Coliseum classes are required to obey the rules and conditions of Creative Coliseum.

  18. Creative Coliseum reserves the right to exclude participants from lessons at its discretion.

  19. Creative Coliseum reserves the right to make changes to the timetable.

  20. Creative Coliseum reserves the right to make changes to the teaching staff.

  21. Fees are reviewed annually. Creative Coliseum reserves the right to alter fees as and when necessary. Parents/participants will be informed, at least a term in advance, of any fee increases.

  22. Participants join at their own risk and are obliged to inform Creative Coliseum and its staff of any existing injuries or medical conditions.

  23. Participants are obliged to take care of their own belongings. Creative Coliseum cannot accept liability for lost or damaged goods or belongings.

  24. Participants should dress according to the requirements of the class they are attending, as outlined in the welcome pack.

  25. The liability of Creative Coliseum and that of its staff is restricted to class time only and then only to gross negligence.

  26. Should it be necessary to cancel classes on account of extreme weather conditions (snow, ice, flood, gale force winds etc.), epidemic/pandemic or national crisis, or any circumstances over which Creative Coliseum have no control, fees cannot be returned or compensation made.

  27. All parents/guardians/participants must complete a registration form, including emergency contact details and any health/ medical conditions that staff should be made aware of, prior to the participant joining the classes. 

  28. All parents/guardians/student must keep Creative Coliseum up to date with any changes to personal details, especially contact details and medical conditions. 

  29. The Parent/Guardian must advise the class leaders, in good time, if someone else will be collecting a participant. 

  30. The Parent/Guardian must advise Creative Coliseum, in advance of any class, if a participant has permission to walk home alone. 

  31. The Parent/Guardian consent to the staff of Creative Coliseum to take first aid or emergency measures as judged necessary for the care and protection of participants while under the supervision of Creative Coliseum staff.

  32. Creative Coliseum has the right to refuse entry to any participant who is displaying signs of infectious diseases e.g. chickenpox, viruses.

  33. Parents/guardians/participants agree to arrive for class in good time in order to avoid disturbing classes and (child only) to be collected promptly at the end of classes.

  34. Creative coliseum will follow all health and safety procedures outlined by the venue and the risk assessment. 

  35. Creative Coliseum will ensure the safety of each child outlined by the Safeguarding Policy.

Photography

Please inform us at luke@creativecoliseum.com if you do NOT give consent to the photographing or videoing of your child. All images/videos are strictly for marketing purposes and will only appear on Creative Coliseum’s social media accounts, website and marketing. The policy is available to agree to at checkout.
